Hello, Karin.
I hope you and your family are doing well.
My semester is finishing up and I thought I'd send an update about Maggie, aka Shetland.
I've attached a few recent photos. She has grown! She's 16 weeks old, but I'm still amazed at how much she has grown the past few weeks. We're going in for her third DAP tomorrow, and it will be good to be able to allow her more mobility when we're out.
I spent the first eight weeks socializing Maggie, exposing her to various sights, sounds, and people. She's been in an elevator, up and down open air stairs, across a bridge, on a pier, in a cafe and stores, She's met Scott the postman, the UPS driver, children playing and babies in strollers, runners and bicyclists--and friends and neighbours. She's seen other dogs walking the neighbourhood and at play. She even follows cues from my neighbour's children!
Thank you very much for recommending Baxter and Bella for training. I've learned and continue to learn so much from them. Maggie and I are completing basic training formally--something I'd begun informally with her. And we'll go through intermediate training next. Maggie catches on fast.
Thank you for making adopting such wonderful dogs possible. It's a joy to have Maggie. I wish you and your family happy holidays and a happy and healthy new year.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You have given us such a wonderful gift. Sagan is so special. Even his
trainer has commented on what a happy little guy he is. His tail is always
wagging, he loves everybody and people can't resist coming up to us to look
at this adorably handsome dog. I thought you would enjoy a couple of
pictures of Sagan at 6 months old. We call him splat man when he stretches
his hind legs out like in the 2nd picture.
He loves to eat and play tug. He weighs 18.5 lbs currently, so the vet
guesses he'll be 30-35 lbs as an adult.
He and our cat have worked things out on the cat's terms, as you suggested
might happen.
He has become my little shadow. He always wants to be where I am and almost
turns himself inside out when I come through the front door whether I've
been gone 5 minutes or 2 hours. I have laughed at him and his antics every
single day. Like I said, what a gift!
You are a special kind of breeder. I'm glad we found you.

Hi Karin, we just wanted to wish you happy holidays from our family to yours!
We thought we’d send you a little update on our fur baby! Zava (Benny) is nine months now and thriving in his family. He’s started to develop his personality a bit more now(mix of mischievous and cuddly)and won everyone’s hearts around him! He loves to follow us around in the house, lounge on his blankets with his toys and sunbathe by the patio.
These past few months with him have flown by, and we can’t believe how much he’s grown and learned. He’s become the center of our family and given us all so much love ❤️

Hi Karin,
This email is way overdue. We are so delighted with our beautiful Karson. As you know, we were so worried about the possible disruption a puppy would cause in our lives. Especially after all the heartache we experienced with our adopted puppy.
But, she has been so easy from day 1. We can’t speak highly enough about your ethics and the work you do with these puppies. She loves everybody and you are right, she just wants to please us and it is all about communicating our “wants” correctly. She has been so easy to crate train and always used her turf potty when she had to go. My kids absolutely adore her and call her their sister.
Our veterinarian was so impressed with her health and personality as well as the thorough paperwork you sent home. Don’t be surprised if you get a call from him or one of the vet techs wanting their own puppy.
Thank you again for all your patience with my questions and phone calls. I know we were not the easiest of future puppy parents. We know have so much more respect for ethical, small breeders. We would do it again in a heart beat. We will probably get her a brother from you soon.

We saw you have another little of adorable babies, congratulations! It’s getting to be tourist season here in Cannon Beach. Wanna know how I know?? I can’t do my daily beach walk without someone stopping me to ask:
”What kind of doodle is that?? Where did you get her?? That’s such an unusual color for a bernedoodle, I love it, she’s so cute/pretty! She has great conformation. Can she play with my kids for just a little longer to tire them out? She is great with them.”
We tell them all how she is aussiedoodle on the beach and an upside down bernedoodle at home… the perfect combo.
I toss your name out quite a bit and am always happy and proud to. The world needs more pups bred for good temperaments and raised by people who care about what’s important.

I just wanted to send a quick note to say happy new year and thank you again for an amazing puppy. We couldn’t be happier with Camden (aka Bratwurst)! He has adjusted very well to life in Ohio and has been an amazing family dog to our two young daughters. It’s been such a delight watching how kind and playful he is and he has such a good temperament. My daughters love giving him hugs and petting his beautiful coat. He loves plopping down on the floor (and sometimes with his head right on our feet) while relaxing and falling asleep. From the day of arrival, he was potty trained and walked into his crate. We couldn’t believe how quickly he picked up laying down in his crate and sleeping overnight. His little whimper when it’s time to eat is very cute and he hardly barks.
You did such a great job helping us find a beautiful well tempered dog for our family and we are so grateful. The experience has been an amazing one and we can’t wait to share many more memories with him. I spent a ton of time researching what type of puppy would be good for a family with young kids and am so glad we landed on the Aussie Mountain doodle and Blue Skye Doodles as our choice of breeder. He seems to be calm and more easy going from the Bernese side, playful and energetic from the Aussie side (he runs fast!), and so smart from the Poodle side. Karin, thank you so much for raising this puppy so well and for socializing, as he has fit in with our family better than we could have ever expected. Blue Skye Doodles has been such a great choice and I would be happy to recommend you to anybody looking for an Aussie Mountain Doodle. We already love him so much and can’t wait to see him grow with us!

Happy New Year from Posey and Frosty!
Both girls are doing great! Best dogs I have ever owned. They love each other but love us more. Everyone is SO happy.
We've recently moved to Temecula, CA. We bought a house on a man-made lake with a mile long paved path surrounding the lake. The girls get a walk or two every day. They get a lot of attention from everyone! They are meeting many new doggies and people.
Posey attacks everyone with kisses and insists on belly rubs, she is so goofy and outgoing. Everyone who plays with her ends up laughing so hard! Frosty is sweet and gentle, she loves belly rubs but also likes to be cuddled, such a babe. They wrestle all the time and Frosty has no problem keeping up with Posey. They are hilarious!
Thank you again these wonderful dogs, they are loved beyond measure.

We have had a wonderful experience with Blue Skye Doodles and just wanted to share it.
We traveled from CA to their beautiful home in Oregon to bring home our Bernedoodle Puppy in 2022. It was a wonderful family trip and thanks to the work Karin did, our puppy traveled like a trooper and was practically potty trained from day one.
Their dedication to the puppies and love for what they are doing showed me that they are truly doing this for the love of dogs not money. We are already back on their wait list for our next puppy.

Our puppy is so smart, so easy and was probably 90% house trained when we got him. He was already comfortable in a crate so nightime crate training was a breeeze. He was a trooper on the long car ride home and is so friendly with other dogs and everyone he meets.
Best experience ever!!! We can’t wait for his sister from you next year!

We couldn't be happier with little Zoe (a.ka. Hill)! She is doing fantastic and has very quickly settled into her new home. She is very smart and already mostly potty trained having gone the last 7 days without even an accident. She knows loads of commands (her name, sit, come, down, wait, crate, potty, etc.). She has been a lot of fun for our family to train. Once she's old enough for us to introduce her to the bigger world out there, we'll get some professional training added in as well.
She had her vet check up and first vaccinations last week. The vet said she was super healthy and said they could only foresee one challenge for us down the line -- she is so stinking cute that everyone is going to want to play with her. The vet also said several of the other vets and the vet techs all came in and wanted their picture taken with little Zoe.
Just wanted to let you know she is doing great and we are thrilled to have the newest member to our family.

“We could not be happier with Moose (a.k.a. Boreal!) We had no idea what to expect on selection day, and hoped for the best, and our expectations could not have been exceeded more. From the minute we drove away, Moose was so incredibly sweet and loving and gentle. He was an angel during our long journey home from Oregon to Chicago, and had no issues with the travel.
Since coming home, Moose has adjusted so quickly to his new environment and family. He loves to snuggle, and is incredibly smart (sometimes too smart!) We are learning as much as he is, and he's mastered most commands within 15-20 minutes, always eager to learn even more tricks. We couldn't believe how well he was potty trained from day one, and always lets us know when he needs to go, even overnight. Crate training was a dream, he only cried the very first night (and only a little!) Now he loves being in there, and sometimes tells us he's ready to go to bed in his crate before we even put him there.
We attribute SO much of our smooth and steady experience to the incredible time and care that Karin and her family take to socializing, training, and raising these puppies to be wonderfully well-adjusted and sweet additions to the family. Everything we had hoped for in the Aussie Mountain Doodle Breed has been met - he has the smarts of an Aussie, and the sweetness of a Bernese! Even despite the distance from where we live, we can't imagine using another breeder other than Blue Skye and know when the time comes for a second pup, Blue Skye Doodles will be our first and only choice.

Just wanted to send you an update on Bingley (Shasta), and a testimonial for Blue Skye Doodles. We could not be happier with our pup! As first time dog owners, this whole experience has far exceeded our hopes and expectations.
Bingley is smart, easily trained, loyal, gentle, eager to please, and loving. When we brought him into our home he adjusted almost instantly. He learned to use potty bells to tell us when he needed to go out within a day, and was crate trained within a week.
All our fears about owning a dog were completely alleviated by our wonderful pup, and his easy transition into our home. Quick update on Kula...He is THEEE most SILLIEST dog we have ever met. His personality is just the silliest. (I have never met a dog like him and he has this human-like personality, it's hard to explain but I'm sure you know what I mean.) He's always ready for fun, he LOVES to hold hands, he even loves resting his paws on our leg and even shoulder (its so funny), he's incredibly smart, he's not a fan of swimming but loves being near the water and yelling at us to get out of the pool, he loves to eat shoes and towels (lol), he loves his stuffed animal friends and sits with them and just mouths them and paws at them like a nursing puppy, he loves other dogs and people...he will just stand on the couch and peek his cute face out the window and just watch everything and everyone out there (it looks hilarious), we have a travel water bottle for him that we uses on walks but some how it has turned into his night time bottle...he asks for it every night before bed like a baby needing their bottle...its really cute (sometimes frustrating because he has a full bowl of fresh water and will even ask for his bottle while standing by his water bowl) and his new thing is talking to us and yelling at us for treats and whatever else he feels like talking about. Ha!
So to say the least we LOVE him so much and we can't thank you enough for the love,care and time you put into breeding and raising your puppies. It clearly shows, our family will always have so much gratitude and love for you and what you do...and for providing our family with the perfect addition.

Lexi (formerly Cocoa born March 28, 2020) absolutely exceeds all of our expectations! We are in love with her, and there is seemingly no end to the joy she adds to our life. She is such a beautiful dog and well behaved for a puppy.
It really makes a difference how Karin raises her puppies. The loving care she experienced was immediately apparent. Lexi is basically unflappable, finding fun in most everything, and adapting to any number of situations without hesitation.
When she was only 4 months old, we took her on a 1 month cross-country camping trip, and she was easy-going throughout. While traveling she socialized readily with puppies that we encountered. Watching her play with other dogs , some even who tend to be curmudgeonly, has become one of our greatest joys.
Counter to what we expected, she even loves going to the vet and greets everyone with a wagging tail. Our vet was impressed with her, declaring that she was both wonderful and ‘mild-mannered’
She enjoys the beach, the ocean and we’ve even taken her paddle boarding. On walks Lexi brings a smile to everyone’s face who walks by. So many people who meet her want to know where we got her from. It is our pleasure and a privilege to recommend Blue Skye Doodles!!

On Olaf’s second birthday we just wanted to write to you and say thank you. Honestly, a thank you doesn’t remotely begin to express how grateful and lucky we are to have Olaf in our lives.
Olaf is just simply the best dog. Rickard and I both grew up with dogs and have had several over the years. Neither of us has ever had a dog that has ever even come remotely close to how special Olaf is. He is just beyond loving, smart and intuitive. He has these human eyes that just know and connect with everyone and almost intuitively knows what you want from him without hardly asking. He puts his paw on you when he is connecting. We can just make the slightest gestures and he knows exactly what to do. Always stays within a safe distance when off leash in the community at a park or at the beach. We take him to an unofficial dog park on the Venice/Santa Monica boarder which as imaginary boarders. We find this to be a great place to take him to really let him run wild. He knows not to go too far and never go within roughly 20 feet of the edges. All the other dogs there are equally well behaved and smart as they need to be due to its openness. This has also provided him with great well behaved friends. He never jumps out of the car until we have told him it’s ok. He responds to commands like the most obedient child. Everything is in pure love. Honestly he makes my heart explode. He gets very jealous of the screen or cell phone and forces us to set limits, which is honestly the best medicine we could all ask for. A true therapy dog. He sleeps stretched out on his back, bits up in the most relaxed and funny positions as he has never known a threat in his life. He often “talks” in his sleep, which is just so funny. He is the most happy go lucky dog and just bounces and wiggles with joy and excitement. He always needs a toy close by to clinch onto when he gets extra excited. We think this is self soothing to him and helps him contain his over abundance of happiness. He thinks he is much smaller then he is, and we often use the expression, “if it fits, it sits”. As this seems to be his MO. He’ll wedge into the tightest corners, climb right on top of his favorite humans, and poke his nose right under your arm or in your legs to demand love and snuggles. He’ll get right on top of us when we are in bed giving us each a very loving hug and snuggle goodnight, and he’ll do the same in the morning when we wake up. The way he puts his front legs on each side of our head and on our shoulders, and puts his face just next to ours, it’s obvious he is giving us human hugs and telling us how much he loves us. He is also super loyal and protective. When we have house guests spending the night, or if Olaf hears movement, he’ll bark and then jump right on top of me-as to say “it’s ok mom, I got this”. Rickard and I are both lucky enough to be able to bring Olaf to work with us everyday. He brings so much joy to both of our work places.
Additionally, Olaf is one well traveled dude! He flew first class right up next to us this past summer to Sweden. Everyone on the plane and at the airport was so impressed by his demeanor. He loves Sweden! All the open fields and fresh air have him happy as could be. He was in our wedding and walked down the isle with Rickards 2 boys as our fur baby. He was so photogenic for pictures. His zest for life is truly contagious. He puts every other dog we know to shame, and not just because we’re biased.
We have so much to thank you for. Again, words can’t put into words how much he is loved, nor how lucky we are to have him. Thank you so much! Keep doing what you are doing. It’s clear that you and your family’s love and attention from day one, even way before, gave him the best start to life.

Finley has brought countless moments of joy to my life ever since I brought her home a year ago. She's been sweet, spunky and expressive since day one, and I'm constantly impressed with how smart she is.
I still can't believe she potty trained herself in just about a week and how she picked up the "sit" command in just a few days! She also gets along wonderfully with my young nephews and my elderly parents and always makes us laugh with her bouncy, playful spirit.

I just wanted to thank you for breeding one of the most lovable, smart, funny and fun puppies we’ve ever encountered! She is beyond anything we imagined and both of us are just on cloud nine. We’re in LOVE!
Apple’s new name is Izzy. We thought for sure we’d end up with a male so Ozzy (play on Aussie) was going to be his name, but when we got Apple we came up with a female version-Izzy.
She’s practically potty trained. When she has an accident it’s more our fault than hers. She’s met all of our friends and family and was a delight with all of them.
She fetches with gusto, is learning “release” “come” (we’ve got a little work in that department still but she tries :) . She’s good with her harness and hardly ever pulls on her leash. She was fantastic at the vet’s office, sweet and cuddly, and she sleeps for 6-7 hours each night with no potty breaks!
She also is fantastic at finding treats in a mental challenge game board our son gave us and she rummages through a toy box for favorites whenever she’s bored. She loves her crate and cries briefly when we switch off from puppy duty to go to work for a few hours, and welcomes us home with a sweet yip and happy attitude.
Anyhow-I can’t say enough. I know it’s only been a week, but she is special and we feel so lucky to have her as our new best friend.

We are on day four with our two little pups, and we couldn't be more in love, grateful, and impressed. They're the perfect combination of playful, adorable, adventurous, loving, and snuggly.
One of the most remarkable things about them is how self confident and steady they are, especially for 8 and 9 weeks old, respectively! They're pretty unflappable... at the vet, they were just fine with the poking and prodding, and the vet remarked on how incredibly well socialized they are.
At home, they explored our entire yard the first afternoon with no fear, and within minutes they were romping around and playing together. They're rapidly getting used to their collars, they love being groomed so much that they fall asleep in the middle of it, and they're completely fine with their paws, ears, mouths etc being touched and manipulated as needed. It's just awesome.
Of course, they still need to go out several times in the middle of the night, but they're learning to sleep longer stretches at a time, and they settle right back down when they come in from going potty at night. This morning I thought my husband and I were going to have a party when we took them out first thing, put them down in their designated spot, said "get busy" (our code phrase), and they both squatted and piddled right at the same time. Yay!!
Their least favorite thing is being apart from us - which doesn't happen very often, but they're getting better by the day! They're also awesome with meeting new people - so friendly!! The puppies both slept 8 solid hours last night with no incident, and they've now slept through the vet, the cleaning lady, and the gardeners. They're unfazed by leaf blowers, vacuums, and vaccines. Best puppies ever!

“I am so incredibly happy that I found Blue Skye Doodles. I didn't grow up with animals so this was my first time adopting an animal and definitely a first for adopting a puppy. I really had no clue how to start the search so when Blue Skye Doodles popped up at the top of my Google search "Bernedoodles in Southern California" I was suspicious at how easy my research was. DO NOT BE SUSPICIOUS! Seriously don't! Blue Skye Doodles is the legit real thing!!
Of course we love Willow, the puppy we adopted from Sky and Ryver's "Stellar" litter. She is so sweet, cuddly, goofy, lovable, and is one year old now. But the huge bonus of adopting through Blue Skye Doodles is Karin.
Karin always responds after I send an email within minutes! Incredibly communicative and clear and for that I have always been grateful. As someone who has had zero experience with raising a puppy this really means a lot to me because I can rely on Karin to quickly help me. Adopting from Blue Sky Doodles comes with guidance from Karin the entire life of your dog. I've email Karin about books to read to prep, potty training, certain types of "products" Willow responded to when she was under Karin's care, double checking how much food to feed her, how to help with healing when she got spayed, etc.
Karin is also incredibly flexible and organized. All the official paperwork we received so we knew what shots Willow had vs. what she needed, what is expected of us when we adopt her, even when it came to sending out deposit and confirming our spot for the litter. Karin has a great system and respects holding your spot when asked. We had a special situation happen where we had reserved a spot for a Summer 2019 litter and a puppy was available from the recent Fall 2018 litter. Karin was flexible and let us adopt Willow from that litter instead of waiting for the original.
Nothing but positive things to say about Blue Skye Doodles and also our puppy!
